Hansea and MAN, a matter of trust
With a total order for no less than 250 electric MAN Lion's City E city buses, Hansea once again confirms its collaboration with MAN Truck & Bus. Hansea is the largest independent private bus company in Belgium, transporting thousands of people to their destination every day. In addition to public transport companies De Lijn and TEC, Hansea also counts large industrial companies, governments, railroads, schools and travel agencies among its customer base.
100% emission-free passenger transport is on the rise and has not been a pipe dream for some time, a message Hansea has understood all too well. With already 90 MAN Lion's City E buses in its network, the private bus company is doing all it can to reduce its carbon footprint. This commitment to climate and the environment is now further bolstered by a new, additional order, bringing the total number of electric MAN Lion’s City E buses to 250. Delivery is expected partly in the second half of this year and partly next year.
With the 10-metre “City” model, the 12-metre standard model, and the 18-metre articulated version included in this order, this new bus fleet can soon be deployed across Flanders for a wide range of applications.
The choice for MAN Truck & Bus is driven by the excellent, long-standing collaboration with its Belgian bus division and the strong MAN service network on which we can always rely. The order was confirmed with the official signing at Hansea’s headquarters in Antwerp. For this occasion, Joris Larosse (CEO of Hansea) welcomed guests including Friedrich Baumann (Executive Board Member Sales & Customer Solutions - MAN SE), Roman Sitte (Head of Sales Area Europe - MAN SE), Stijn Tielens (Managing Director - MAN Belgium), and Geert Van Impe (Sales Director Bus & Coach - MAN Belgium).
